Tchaikovsky May 7th, 1840 Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky was born in Votkinsk, Russia. Inspired by Shakespeare's tragedy "Romeo and Juliet", Tchaikovsky composed the opera for "Romeo and Juliet" and was heard for the first time the same year. 1870 Premiere of "The Sleeping Beauty"

Began to work on the opera, "The Queen Of Spades" January, 1890 1892 Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky passed away at 3:15 a.m. in St. Petersburg, Russia. By Luisa Duenas Timeline 1850 Pyotr was sent to the "Imperial School of Juriprudence in St. Petersburg 1854 Tchaikovsky's mother passed away due to cholera. 1859 Graduated from the Imperial School of Juriprudence in St. Petersburg 1862 The St. Petersburg Conservatory was inagurated and Pyotr joined. 1868 His first symphony was performed in the St. Petersburg Conservatory. 1866 Symphony No. 1 "Winter Daydreams" Op. 13 was finished. August, 1875 Began working on the first of his famed trilogy of ballets, "The Swan Lake", commisioned by the Imperial Theatres in Moscow. March 4th, 1877 "Swan Lake" premiered July, 1877 Married a former student of the conservatory named Antonina Miliukova. Left her in October of that same year. December, 1888 Composed "The Sleeping Beauty", commisioned by the directors of the Saint Petersburg Theatres. Sleeping Beauty Waltz Lake In The Moonlight Rome and Juliet Love Theme April, 1891 Tchaikovsky's sister, Aleksandria, passed away. Making his deppression and trauma of loneliness and loss bigger.
