There are many versions of the poem.
Now it's your turn to write your own version of the "Roses are red" poem!
First, let's practice thinking of some rhymes.
Valentines Day Poems
In the USA, this poem is the most popular Valentines Day poem!
Some versions are nice and sweet...
Some versions of the poem are funny, silly, or mean...
Blue:
Shoe
New
...
Now you have three choices for your poem
1. Use the first two lines of the original poem
(rhyme your last word with "blue"):
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
______________
___________ [u]
Red:
Said
Bread
...
2. Switch the first two lines of the poem

(rhyme your last word with "red")
:
Violets are blue,
Roses are red,
______________
__________ [ed]
3. Change more words in the poem
(choose your own rhyme):

Apples are green,
Milk is white,
I love you
all day and night
Rhyme sound: [u]
