What internet safety means to me!!!! What does internet safety look like? Not agreeing to meet up with someone that you just met online that you don't really know. Someone you don't know can find out your personal information and find you. What are some of the risks in using the internet? What should be avoided while using the internet safely? What information should i be giving out over the internet? What are some ways to help prevent cyber-bulling? What are some signals or warning signs that could mean your safety is in jeopardy? By :Austin Hicks Not giving out your personal information online. Not taking inappropriate pictures of your self and posting them online. Cyber-bulling Harassment You should avoid giving out personal information on the internet.
You should avoid saying things out of anger that will come back to haunt you in the future. Basic information or required information. Never give out information that could allow people you don't know to find you. Ignore it! Don't respond! Tell an adult before it gets to far. When your Facebook is posting things to other peoples walls that you didn't say. When people you don't know are trying to talk you into meeting them. When people start sending you mean things. Examples of internet safety! You log onto Facebook one day and this guy starts messaging you. Y'all get to talking and after a few days he asks you if you will meet him at Starbucks. What do you say yes or no? You say yes and now you and your mother are at the police station getting a restraining order on the guy. You say no and a few days later you see the guy on the news.
He is being charged for trying to sexually harass a 12 year old
girl and now he is considered a sexual predator. For saying no you
are safe. Examples!!! You click on the link from the friend to get a free ipad and fill out the information. Included in
this information is your pin number and other valuable information on your credit card. Two days later the bank calls. Someone has got your credit card information and has been spending thousands of dollars in your name. You get a link from your friend. You don't know if the link is a spam or not do you click on it? You don't click on the link. Later your friend calls. Someone got their private information and now they are hundreds of dollars in debt. Thank you for watching!!!
