The Oldham College has a Learning Resource Centre based within each School and a modern central Library. The Learning Centres combine traditional Library facilities with the latest information learning technology specific to each subject area.
Learning Centre and Library staff help you to find the resources that best suit your learning needs. Workshops are provided on a wide variety of topics such as Using the Internet or Word Processing assignments.
Learning Mentors offer a confidential support service. If you have a problem, perhaps a personal or financial difficulty, that is affecting your studies that you prefer not to discuss with your tutor, you will be able to talk in confidence to one of our highly trained team. The Learning Mentors also offer a range of special events throughout the year such as health focus weeks and awareness.
All mentors are socially at ease with and are able to relate / communicate to young people at their various levels. Mentors encourage students to take responsibility for any personal problems and will provide information or refer to internal / external specialists.
