BY : DANIEL GUTIERREZ

DEFINITION
HOW DOES THE CLOUD WORK ?
storing and accessing data and programs over the Internet instead of your computer's hard drive.
THE CLOUD -
The cloud is just a metaphor for the Internet. It goes back to the days of flowcharts and presentations that would represent the gigantic server-farm infrastructure of the Internet as nothing but a puffy, white cumulonimbus cloud, accepting connections and doling out information as it floats.
WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF CLOUDS ?
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE CLOUD ?

The second a company needs more bandwidth than usual, a cloud-based service can instantly meet the demand because of the vast capacity of the service’s remote servers. In fact, this flexibility is so crucial that 65% of respondents to an Information Week survey said “the ability to quickly meet business demands
FLEXIBILITY-
WHO USES THE CLOUD ?
About 22 percent of the US consumers are familiar with the term "Cloud Computing" ,even though 76 percent of the same consumers have used a cloud based service .

WHAT ARE THE DRAW BACKS ?
POSSIBLE DOWNTIME-
Cloud computing makes your small business dependent on the reliability of your Internet connection. When it's offline, you're offline. Here is brief descriptions of which type of user can enjoy the benefits of cloud computing which should avoid using cloud computing.
FACTS
Cloud computing is a rapidly growing solution for mobile devices. In fact, a new cloud server is added for every 600 smartphones or 120 tablets in use.
Clotions are nothing
An estimated 41 percent of the top executives in major companies around the world claim to use the cloud to streamline some portion of their business.
WHAT WILL FOLLOW THE CLOUD IN ?
Four or five years ago, cloud computing was very much a controversial and unproven concept. I became a strong advocate of it after writing Virtualization for Dummies and being exposed to Amazon Web Services in its early days. I concluded that the benefits of cloud computing would result in it becoming the default IT platform in the near future.
