Q4. Explain two Christian attitudes on the origins of human life (5).

Fundamentalist Christians
believe that God created humans on the sixth day of creation. These Christians believe that the account of the creation story in Genesis is exactly true and that this story reflects God’s omnipotence.
Liberal Christians
believe that scientific theories such as Evolution can still be compatible with the Christian account of how the world was created (The Genesis creation story), because each day in the story can represent a period of a million years, rather than literal days.

Origins of human life
Fundamentalist Christians
believe that God created the world in 6 days and then rested on the seventh day. These Christians believe that the account of the creation story in Genesis is exactly true and that this story reflects God’s omnipotence.
Liberal Christians
believe that the creation story in symbolic and inspired by the idea that God created the world, and that the seven days in the creation story could reflect a longer period of time. This means that they can believe both religion and science, as these Christians would say that God could have caused the big bang to happen.
