Step 1: Science Project How many veins are there in leaves? Photosynthesis Photosynthesis is when a green plant uses it's leafs to collect sunlight for food. Where as we humans rely on food and energy to keep us going through-out the whole day. The plants roots find water and use it for it's drink. A B Type of leaf Rose How many veins 16 Honey-suckle 11 C Sycamore 124 The Different Variables Independent Variable: A factor you change. Dependent Variable: A factor you measure. Control Variable: A Factor you keep the same The leaf I will change. How many veins in the leaf. The leaf is whole. Rose Leaves Rose Leaves are all different sizes depending on how big the branch is! The number of veins depends on how big the leaf is! By Jasmine Khatani My Conclusion
In this experiment i have learnt that some leaves have got different amounts of veins and some have the same amount. Also i have learnt it is important to keep the variables the same( except for the independent variable) otherwise the test won't be fair. My Evaluation To make the test better maybe George can focus on one type of leaf at a time. Then after that start to branch out and use different types of leaves at the same time. Next time i do an experiment i will make my test more reliable by using more than one leaf from the same tree and the same size. Second leaves My Step-By-Step Method Firstly, I picked up some different leaves that where the same size. Then I counted all the veins and recorded them down in a table.After this, I went and found what all the variables where.
