Women owned Businesses Are Underfunded
Why Moms choose Entrepreneurship?
FOREMOST ISSUES IMPACTING WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS
IMPACT OF SUPPORTING
WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS
95% of female small business owners are also mothers who need flexibility in their careers.
- Business News Daily 2013
The average income of women who did not own their own business is 21% lower than that of corresponding men.
- Forbes 2013
Gender discrimination is embedded in our corporate cultural perceptions.
- University of Utah Study 2013

Small business employs 51% of all people.
Women-owned firms produce employment for more than 23 million people in the United States, or 16% of our 2008 workforce.
Approximately 8% of the total labor force work directly for a woman-owned firm.
Women-owned businesses have an economic impact of nearly $3 trillion
If the great majority of women-owned firms were employer firms as opposed to what we have today (80% non-employer, 20% employer), the overall economic impact would be exponentially greater than it is today – perhaps 3 to 4 times greater, possibly exceeding $10 trillion!
- National Women's Business Council 2013
"While the nation's unemployment rate wavers close to 10%, for young adults 16 to 30, the unemployment is closer to 26 percent, and in some cities in our nation close to 40%,
Currently there are 2.4M college graduates whom cannot find jobs in their fields of study, that's 80%"
