The BIG Pre-Test Introduction of the Big Bang Theory The Big Bang Theory From Beginning to End Introduction on Earth's Formation The Big Bang Activity: The Earth From the Beginning to the Prehistoric Age. The Earth Formation Activity Exploded about 13.7 billion years ago
Mass explosion of energy
No time or space before
Universe is still expanding
Imperfection is key Start=Nothing
Light appeared the size of an atom
Then it went from the size of an atom to the size of a marble to the size of a soft ball, to the size of Mars, to 80 times Earth, to 8 times the Solar System, to the size of the Milky Way in... Less Than A Second!
Baby Universe was... Liquid Energy! Not a gas or plasma.
Energy got converted to matter and Anti-Matter
In every group of 100 million particles of Anti- Matter, there was 100 million and 1 particles of Matter
Then Matter is converted to Atoms... Neutron, Protons, and Higgs Boson joined together to form Baby Atoms
Electrons=Too fast to join
When Electrons slowed, they joined the Baby Atoms=Atoms
Without Imperfections in Universe-Universe would be pure liquid energy
Continued expanding=Everything get farther away from other things
Still expanding
In the future - Universe will collapse We will pick sticks and put you in groups of three and maybe a group of two or four
You will get a balloon and a sharpie
Pick one person to blow up the balloon and two people to draw with the sharpie (in a group of two, just have one person blow up the balloon and one person draw) (In a group of four, have three people draw and one person blow up the balloon.
Take the balloon and the sharpie and simulate the Universe expanding
GO! Asteroids + debris from exploding stars come together
More mass and more gravity pulls two giant asteroids together = Earth and Moon You will be in groups of four, five of three
You will get a cup of water, an eye dropper, a paper towel and a penny
You can use as many materials as you want to simulate asteroids coming together to form larger asteroids/planets
