Interpretative dance came from cultures all over the world.

Tribal dances are used especially in ceremonies to tell stories about the past. These were the first examples of the narrative style of interpretive dance.
Where did it come from?
Today interpretive dance is commonly found in recitals or theatrical productions as a form of emotional expression.

Really any type of dance with any type of music.
