I am an extremely passionate & skilled User Experience Designer. With roots in Computer Science & Product Design; the fuse of technology & design creating amazing experiences has always interested me.

I am fundamentally a pixel pusher who enjoys nothing more than getting his pencils & crayons out and getting deeply involved with the creative process of creating amazing online experiences. I love working to design delightful digital products and services, which are highly engaging across channels. My approach of combining business strategy, cutting edge technology and design thinking leads to pragmatic executions that have real meaning & value for their users & owners.

I love sharing my knowledge to enable my clients to achieve their business objectives, but also to make the web a better place to be!

Head of UxD
I worked within a dedicated team to design new online retail stores or improve existing buying experiences, customer journeys and conversion rates. This involves a wide range of considerations in order to retain the customer, cross sell and maximise both the shopping experience and purchases bought.

This also included designing corporate and commercial web sites for national and international corporations.
I worked as part of a small, highly skilled team developing web interfaces and maintaining websites using a range of Content Management Systems from enterprise to open source solutions.

I worked with national & regional government organisations and businesses to deliver external facing commercial and not-for-profit web sites and extranets. I also worked on designing and delivering internal communications, marketing materials, infographics and corporate intranets for corporations within Europe.

Whilst at Cyber Media, I also aided in the design of their own online drug treatment application, Theseus.

I currently head up an innovation and large scale project team, working cross channel, across functional departments, designing and developing 8 key leisure & restaurant brand sites from traditional brochure sites to market leading commercial sites.

The role involves understanding and improving the current user experiences and journeys throughout all of the sites, whilst also concentrating on the commercial value of existing and new functionality to present a positive Return On Investment. Not only concentrating on functionality and functional areas; content strategy and information design is also a key competency in order to be able to increase click through's and all important conversions to be able to attribute commercial value to the sites.

I am responsible for conceptualisation and design of new and innovative solutions, required to design and integrate new functionality within existing platforms; but also investigate new platforms, which would provide a cost or effort saving or prove a benefit to the business, to improve user experience and interaction online and engage users via web, tablet and mobile devices.

I work closely with the Head of Brand’s, and are responsible for designing compelling real world, live or social experiences, across multiple channels that include: mobile, tablet and web platforms. Reporting directly to the Head of Digital, I oversee all the design and creative of projects from concept, creation, and delivery ensuring high quality of creative work.

All my previous experience has led me to be able to excel in this role and understand key design concepts and how to innovate and improve.

I completed an internship at IBM; and not only lighting my passion for web design this also fueled the fire to be part of a cutting edge, creative team. I loved working in the creative team environment and loved every minute of it, so I heard my calling and knew where I wanted to work from here on out.

I thrived in this environment and a truly believed I found my home in this type of environment. During my time at IBM I supported the team designing and developing the IBM intranet as we began to see it take shape and become a well rounded internal product and resource.
