They travel through space where they saw the black thing which is an evil cloud that was trying to destroy the entire galaxy. They tried saving their dad from being punished for eternity by the black thing. The theme of the story was love of family.
My Opinion... (Cont.)
I believe that some things should be censored but not all. The reason for this is that certain things should not be seen or heard by younger age groups. This book is appropriate for all age groups.
Her book contains many verses from the Bible. Some people said it was to christian. "According to Wolf,Baldassro of bannedbooks.world.edu it was to christian or not christian enough. The conservative christians criticized her liberal viewpoint. It was also banned because some people believed that the content in the book was satanic.
In “A Wrinkle In Time” Meg Murry is the main character of the book. Her brother Charles Wallace and her friend Calvin O’Keefe travel through time and space with her. They go in search of Meg’s father who had disappeared after a failed experiment.
“ A Wrinkle In Time” was an exciting book that left me wanting more with the turn of each page. The story was very interesting. It was also a banned book.I can understand why the book was banned at that time, but I do not agree with it being banned.
My Opinion On Why It Was Banned
“A Wrinkle In Time” was written in the 1960’s and shortly after became a banned book. One of the many reasons why it was banned was because the main character was a female, which was unheard of at the time. Women were mostly housewives back then.
