The Endocrine System!
Transcript of The Endocrine System!
Get as much out of it as you can. A gland that produces insulin, which regulates the transport of sugar molecules into body cells. Insulin targets skeletal muscle, the liver, and fat tissue, which increases the movement of glucose and amino acids into the cells. Glands in the male body that produce the hormone testosterone. Testosterone affects muscle mass development, hair growth, voice changes, and the development of sperm production and male productive organs. Sperm cells are also produced in the testes. Women have ovaries, which are glands in the female body that produce the hormones estrogen and progesterone. Eggs also develop in the ovaries. The hormones produced by the ovaries affect the development and function of female reproductive organs, and breast development. Yeah, the Endocrine System, it's one of the greatest, all the way down to the pancreas. Yeah, the Endocrine system, it's one of the greatest, all the way down to the pancreas, It's got hormones to transfer info intended for our organs. What, didn't you know? It's got backup, and his name is Nervous. Endocrine calls the shots while Nervous sends the messages. The Organs follow all of his commands. The Target Tissue follows certain orders, man! It's kinda like a puzzle, just gotta put it together. It's harder than you think to keep things in order. But Endocrine has these things, and they're called glands. I guess you could call them 2nd-in-command. Because they're the ones who release all the hormones. They also release some other chemicals. In the next verse, I'll tell you what else they do, but for now, here's the chorus, dude! Endocrine System! That's where the hormones are made up, there's tons they can do! These hormones will make you feel brand new, while Adrenal inspires you! First we got Pituitary, it secretes 9 hormones, all for different organs. Ain't that cool, bro? Then we got Thyroid, it's wrapped around the windpipe. Speeds up your metabolism, so your stomach will feel right. Parathyroid regulates calcium. Bones, kidneys, small intestines is what it targets, bro. Adrenal gives you a rush, which helps out in runs, and World of Warcraft, LEEROY JENKINS! The Pancreas, man, it produces insulin, transport sugar into body cells, son! Targets skeletal muscle, liver and fat tissue. It helps out glucose and amino acids to move. Then there's the testes, which have testosterone, and don't forget the ovaries, which has progesterone. Testes make sperm, while ovaries make eggs. And those are all the glands I mentioned in this Prezi, man!
