Some of the major cities are Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Lviv. The capitol city is Kiev
The population of the Ukraine is 45.59 million.
The Ukrainian currency is called the Ukrainian hryvnia.

The government of Ukraine is associated with the Cabinet of Ministers most of the time. But it should be considered that the Ukraine is under a semi-presidential system.
The secondary school education is compulsory in Ukraine. The 6-year-olds are admitted to the public schools to study for either 9 or 11 years. Those willing to attend vocational schools can finish their education after the ninth year of schooling. The compulsory school education is traditionally divided into three categories: the beginners, the middle graders and the seniors.
There are three different land uses : 53.85% is arable land-land that has been cultivated for crops like wheat maize and rice that are replanted after every harvest. 1.48% is permanent crops-land cultivated for crops like citrus, coffee etc.

Russia pulled back a battalion from along the Ukrainian border on Monday and sent its prime minister to shower promises on Crimea, pledging quick funds to improve power supplies, water lines and education on its newly annexed peninsula.
The water forms in the Ukraine are the Donets River, Southern River, Dnister River, Dnieper River, and the Desna River.
Ukraine, the largest country totally in Europe, it has some very interesting land forms.
As for mountains, the northern reaches of the Carpathian Mountains stretch across western Ukraine. The country's highest point is located there; the Hoverla Mountain, at 2061 m (6762 ft) tall.
The Crimean Mountains front the southern edges of the Crimean Peninsula, and some lower, heavily-eroded mountains extend into Russia just north of the Sea of Azov.
The resources in the Ukraine are iron ore, coal, manganese, natural gas, oil, salt, sulfur, graphite, titanium, magnesium, kaolin, nickel, mercury, timber, and arable land.
Roast meat (pechenya): pork, veal, beef or lamb roast.
Borshch is a vegetable soup made out of beets, cabbage, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, dill
The shelter in the Ukraine ranges from low class houses to amazing mansions.
The Ukrainian embroidery is made of aida cloth and yarn. It is worn on weddings and other special celebrations.
