The decade of the 90s
Culturally, the 1990s was characterized by the rise of multiculturalism and alternative media. It was a time for freedom, for instance the fall of the Berlin wall came to symbolize the end of the Cold War. Nevertheless there was the Gulf War. A combination of factors, including the continued mass mobilization of capital markets and the dissolution of the Soviet Union led to a reconsolidation of economic and political power across the world.
