Knowledge Issue Progression The Shooting of Trevon Martin by George Zimmerman. February 26, 2012 in Sanford, Fl.
Zimmerman, coordinator for the neighborhood watch, killed the unarmed 17 year old claiming self defense.
Zimmerman reported suspicious behavior to the police and later approached Martin leading to his death.

If Zimmerman perceived African Americans differently, would his actions have been more reasonable; would the situation have ended differently? Personal Connection Do our views of cultural stereotypes affect the ways that we react to people or do both personal events and historical knowledge allow for people to make pre-mature judgments that may be different from their normal reasoning.
