Talk to a parent or an adult you trust!
Act confident! Stand up straight, make eye contact, and walk confidently.
BULLYING IS NOT GAME. It's SERIOUS. TREAT IT SO.
Being the Bystander
Encouraging the bullies behavior
Making it difficult for the bully to stop.
Decreasing the feelings of responsibility or guilt.
What is Bullying?

Types Of Bullying
Verbal Bullies use words to hurt or humiliate another person.
Verbal Bullying includes name-calling, insulting, and constant teasing.
This type of bullying includes hitting or physically hurting a victim, or, taking or damaging the victim's property.
Emotional & Psychological
Emotional Bullying includes spreading rumors or talking behind someone's back.
When someone (or a group of people) repeatedly and intentionally use words or actions which cause psychological harm.
When someone ( or a group of people) uses technology to verbally, socially or psychologically bully.
Truth or Myth?
"It's just a phase.
They'll grow out of it. After all, kids will be kids".
Bullying Does not
cause any long term damage.
Only Boys Bully.
50% of the adult population has experienced bullying at work, at home, or in other everyday activities.
60% of bullies will be arrested by the age of 24.
Bullies can be boys or girls. Boys tend to use physical bullying while girls seem to reject and ostracize each other.
Effects on a victim
Just because it's not physical bullying does that mean it's not bullying?
Are you a bystander?
It may only take words to protect another.
We will NOT BULLY others.
We will HELP STUDENTS who are bullied.
We will INCLUDE STUDENTS in all activities.
We will TELL AN ADULT when we see bullying.
