Sir John Monash By Rebecca Cooper Topics 1 2 3 Dates of Birth and Death Sir John Monash was born on 27 June 1865. He died in 1935. It is unknown what the precise date is of his death is. Place of Birth Sir John Monash was born in Dudley street, West Melbourne, Victoria. Greatest achievement/s Monash was appointed Director-General of Repatriation and Demobilisation, Monash worked in prominent civilian positions becoming the most notable Australian. 4 Career highlights •He was also Vice-Chancellor of the University of Melbourne from 1923 until his death eight years later.
• Monash was an active member of the Rotary Club of Melbourne, Australia's first Rotary Club, and served as its second President (1922–23).
•In 1927, he became patron of the newly-founded Zionist Federation of Australia and New Zealand 5 Why I chose this person and what note he is on! I chose this person because he was once a general in World War 1. He also has many career highlights. He is now on the $100 note THE END
