THE AIRPLANE THE ERA OF CHANGE THE INVENTOR WHY WAS IT INVENTED SOLUTIONS TO PROBLEMS THEY FACED CHALLENGES THEY FACED BENEFITS TO OUR SOCIETY IN THE PAST AND NOW REFERENCE PAGE Many years back all of the people in this world used to wonder if any person can fly. Years passed and then one year was a historical year for everybody because it was when the airplane was invented. The inventors of the airplane are Wilbur Wright and Orville Wright. Wilbur Wright was born on April 16th 1871 and died on May 30th 1912. Orville Wright was born on August 19th 1871 and died on May 30th 1912. Wilbur was the oldest of the two Wright brothers. Both of them were working at a bike repair shop called Wright Cycle Exchange which later became known as the Wright Cycle Company. The Wright Brothers wanted to make the worlds first airplane because they saw an article in an issue of Mcclures Magazine in 1894 about how Lilienthal made gliders. That article made the Wright brothers serious thinkers of a human flight in 1896. Wilbur and Orville began to study bird flight. To study their conclusions more they wrote a letter to Smithsonian institution in May 1899, asking for more study material. The Smithsonian institution was where they got all of their studying material. 1. The engine was too heavy, so to fix this they got a custom made aluminium block. This method used a primitive fuel injection system, with no heavy fuel pump. They also made the frame out of spruce, a light wood which made it lighter.
2.They had the problem of propellers so they eventually made 2 eight foot spruce propellers. This was so that the propellers counteracted the torque effects of the other one.
3.In order to control the plane, they decided to make a cradle where the pilot lie down in and slide from side to side to control the rudders. This made the airplanes flight successful. Aside from the obvious benefits of being able to travel around the world whenever you want to, here are some of the benefits of the airplane. Many of the products and services we take for granted in our daily lives would be impossible without airplanes. Most of the great seafood and exotic fruit available to us now comes to us by airplane. Thanks to a huge number of cargo planes we can now send a package anywhere in the world in days for just a few dollars. Aside from these there a lot more benefits of an airplane.
