Transcript of Mark Twain

Samuel Clemens
By Amanda Ius :)
Everyone knows who Samuel Clemens was.
Even YOU.
Although, you may know him more famously as......
Mark Twain
Mark Twain was born
on November 30, 1835.
He died on April 21, 1910.
Mark Twain was born during
Haley's comet, and died during
Haley's comet.
The biography book I read was called
Mark Twain, by Clinton Cox
Fun Facts:
Mark Twain had many jobs in his life, including
riverboat pilot, newspaper reporter,adventurer,
satirist, miner, and famous author.
He was obsessed with race, and by the
injustices that racism spawned.
When he was a young boy, he hated going to school
and did all that he could to avoid it.
Mark Twain was famous for his literature and humor.
Some of the books that he wrote were called, "The
Adventures of Tom Sawyer", and "The Adventures of
Huckleberry Finn". This could probably be considered
something that Mark Twain did in his lifetime that was
great because the books he wrote still are so memorable
that everyone knows.
Trivia Question:
What were the names of at least two of Sam's brothers and Sisters( if you answer more than one, you get a surprise!)?
One more fun fact, Mark Twain came up with his pen name from the boat slang
"Mark Twain" that meant they were in 12 ft. deep water. he liked that because that
meant they were safe.
Sam Clemens always had a knack for
adventure and getting into trouble.
