of Telerobotics What task does the robot perform? What human function or task does this robot simulate? What types of jobs/careers can this robot create to provide employment for people? We predict these robots will become more advanced as technology advances and will be able to do even more tasks to help humans and to collect data that was once unattainable. This robot could:
•(Military) Oversee military operations in the air, undersea, and on land.
•(Medical) Help with patient transport, disability aids, surgery, monitoring, and remote treatment.
•(Construction) Help with earth moving, building construction, building and structure inspection, and cleaning and maintenance
•(Civil Security) Help with protection and security, firefighting, police work, and bomb disposal. For people who can learn how to effectively operate these robots for respective career fields, jobs will certainly increase. Where are Telerobots Used? What is its work envelope? (how many degrees of freedom or flexible joints does it have) Is the robotic end effector multi-functional? If so, what other tasks can it perform? What sensors does the robot have and how does the robot use the sensors? The Advantages And Disadvantages of Telerobotics Telerobots are robots that are controlled by a computer and accepts instructions from a trained human operator to do tasks. The robot can also be controlled from a distance via satellite navigation and wireless communication. This robot simulates a wide variety of human tasks because it is controlled by a human. This robot is used in a range of fields, such as Civil Security and Military, but as of now its primary focus is in the medical field and space field. The work envelope for telerobots has an extremely wide range due to the different types and overall purpose for each telebot. When dealing with some telebots, the robotic end effector can be multifunctional. For instance, in exploration telerobotics, a robot used to explore the environment can have a robotic end effector that touches items and could also lift things. Telebots can have a variety of sensors such as visual, temperature, air/gas, and force sensors. The robot is taught to perform its task via computer programs, operating systems, and whatever it is remotely controlled to partake in. ADVANTAGES •We are able to gather data on areas that aren’t easily accessible to humans.
