solar system and earth 4000-3800 ma
First Living Organisms 3500ma
Photosynthesis 2000-1700 ma
First Eukaryotes Form This is now in the Archean Period
evolves approximately 500 million years afterlife
the process of photosynthesis helped the earth obtain oxygen (O2)
aerobic cellular respiration is now available this bacteria became a became much more complex then the Prokaryotes
Eukaryotes have a nucleus and many other organelles tahat the prokaryotes did not have
Theory that mitochondria and chlorplasts were evolved from living bacteria Called the Hadean period
formation of moon
appearance of first rocks on Earth
Earth was very Hot and full of deadly gasses 4600 ma Prokaryotes were the first organisms to be formed
these organism lived through the harsh conditions on earth
they absobed nutrient and energy from organic molecules from the enviornment 1000 ma
First Multi-cellular organisms The unicellular organisms started to evolve and become more than just a unicellular organism
Animals in the oceans and waters of the earth become bigger and they develop soft bodies and become invertebrates (has a spine) PRECAMBRIAN ERA PALEOZOIC ERA 544-440 Ma
Primitive marine life originates Cambrian and Ordovician periods
very early life started in the oceans of Earth
fish are becoming much bigger in size and shape
invertebrates, especially arthropods and mollusks, dominate in sea
The first fungi are developing 440-360 Ma
Evolution in the Water Silurian and Devonian Periods
many fish that are much more evolved now in the sea
plants that are vascular start to form in the waters
land is now becoming to grow plants as well
First amphibians and insects form through evolution
first seeds and pollen form on land 360-245 Ma
Amphibians and other creatures evolve The beginning of the Carboniferous generally had a more tropical, and humid climate that exists today
swamps and other habitats with moss start to form
conifers, plants that protected their seeds, also formed
reptiles are being formed too
Permian Period included aMass Extinction wipes out many species and organisms, they are all put into one land mass Pangaea 245-146 Ma
DINOSAURS! MESOZOIC ERA The First mammals were originated in the Triassic Era, Dinosaurs
Tree ferns, which are small trees, become bigger and taller in this period and gymnosperms grow on the trees (equivalent to pine cones)
Pangaea begins to to break apart
The Jurassic Period there were many dinosaurs on Pangaea and conifers flourished too
The continents begin to separate 146-65 Ma
Cretaceous Period Flowers begin to bloom and grow everywhere
another Mass extinction has occurred in this period, and marine had more extinction than land organisms
continents separate widely around the world
Dinosaurs go extinct in this period CENOZOIC ERA 65-23 Ma
Tertiary Period Paleocene, Eocene, Oligocene, Miocene, and Pliocene are all Epochs. ( An epoch is a beginning of a distinctive period in the history something)
hominids, which are fossils of human relatives, were found in this period
birds are all around the world now and mammals as well as insects were spread around the continents
climates and weather begin to change to modern weather and mountainous 1.8-0.01 Ma
Pleistocene monkeys evolve and turn into upright monkeys which walked and turned into animals that could use there brain because it was developing
the genus Homo begins to evolve
Giant mammals died and Humans were on the Earth 0.01 Ma-Present
Recent Period All the continents are shifted to what they look like now
humans are now more developed and building and inventing objects and other materials
cultural evolution occurs, which is the transmission of learned behaviors from generation to generation
