Scientific Revolution Era
Let's take a closer look!
Isaac Newton was an English physicist, mathematician, astronomer, natural philosopher, alchemist, and theologian.
Newton wrote a book called the "Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica". This is Latin for the Mathmatical Principles of Natural Philosophy.
It is basically about the philosophy of math, specifically speaking, calculus.
He spells out the mathmatical proofs by demonstrating his universal law of gravitation and his three laws of motion.
The Three Laws of Motion and Theory of Gravitation
The book describes the basic law of motion and the law of gravitation which explained the movements of the planets.
"Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it."
He is famous for inventing Calculus in 1666; however, he did not publish it until 1684
Isaac Newton wrote The Universal Arithmetic
Newton wrote papers about calculus, curves, optics, and analytical geometry
Isaac Newton and Leibniz had a debate on who really claimed the rights to calculus
"The relationship between an object's mass (m), its acceleration (a), and the applied force (F) create the formula, F = ma."
Newton made a huge impact on theoretical astronomy. He defined the three laws of motion and gravitation to predict motions of stars. This helped astronomers today in our society. He also discovered optics using the refracting telescope helping people be able to focus on things that cannot be seen with just the human eye. Using science, he was able to view and explain the natural world around him.
During Newton's life, the world went through a scientific and dramatic change based on his discoveries. Other scientists shared their ideas and theories which resulted in the Enlightenment Era.
Isaac Newton was the guide of the Enlightenment Era. It was Newton's idea that the Universe depends on the Natural or rationalized laws that became one of the first roots of the ideology for the Enlightenment Era.

Law of Gravity

Isaac Newton's theory of gravitation is said to be thought while he was studying under an apple tree, when suddenly, he was hit by an apple.
He was fascinated why the apple fell in a downward trajectory, and thus, came up with the theory of gravitation.
