Create a thesis for the video.

1. While watching the video, make a list of what the author of the book focused on to make her happier.

2. Then we will review thesis statements for your upcoming expository essays.

3. Lastly, you will reflect on what happiness means to you, finding examples from your life, devleoping a thesis for your happiness, and a happiness collage to help me get to know you.

- Thesis = What you are going to prove + 3 ways to prove it

- Last sentence of intro. paragraph

- Most important sentence of essay!

- Your expos. essay (we'll start it on Monday) should have a thesis.
Practice Thesis
Prompt = Explain the person you admire the most.

Example thesis:
The person I admire the most is my mom, because she was strong as she fought through cancer, she is the most forgiving person I've ever met, and she encouraged my creativity.

What does this thesis do?
School just might not be your favorite part of the day...
I can live with that.
