Time Management How to manage your time!! What is time management? Effectively using god given resources, to his glory and our satisfaction and growth Processes and tools that increases efficiency and productive So what is it? Manage our time so it doesnt manage you!! Manage our time, to waste less time on doing the things we have to do, so we have more time to do the things we want to do getting more value out of your time with the aim of improving the quality of you life Free time for all important areas of life My life stays in balance and I have time to accomplish the goals that are important to me Balancing is something you will use throughout your life Time Management Skills Know Myself Goal Setting; Know what to do- prioritizing Know when and how to do it-: planning Decision-making; scheduling Knowing must lead to DOING Managing time effectively Persevere Remember the GOAL!! Measure the goal Get back ON track when you fail Develop & maintain the flexibility to change plan as necessary Priority Areas Strategies on using time 1. Blocks of study time and breaks 2.Dedicated study spaces 3. Weekly reviews 4. Prioritze your assignments 5.Achieve "stage one" -- get something done!! 6. Postpone Unnecessary activities until the work done!! 7. Identify resources to help you 8. Use your freetime wisely 9. Review notes and readings just before class 10. Review notes after class Select one of these and then encorporate it into your life Effective aids: Create a simple Daily/weekly/monthly planner Big Picture I have 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks per year. thats all!! small picture all we really have is THIS MOMENT RIGHT NOW!!! GET STARTED HAVE FUN BE SUCCESSFUL
