Transcript of Does Nail Polish Slow the Growth of Nails?

Experiment
Adding protein to the diet is essential to build calcium and encourage healthy nails. It can be found in various types of oily fish, cold-pressed oils, red meat, chicken breast, nuts and sunflower seeds
Bibliography
Nail polish is basically paint that sticks to the nails for cosmetic purposes. They come in many different colors and finishes. The possibilities of decoration are endless. New trends show an increased amount of production of matte nail polishes. Matte nail polishes have a dull and non-coated finish. The traditional nail polish usually looks shiny and glossy.
What are Nails Made of ?
The fingernails are produced by living skin cells in the finger. They are made of mostly keratin, a hardened protein (also in skin and hair)

Nail Polish- Good or Bad for Nails
Objective
In this experiment, we will find out whether nail polish slows down the growth of nails. We will also be comparing the growth rate of bare nails with it.
What are the Ingredients in Most Nail Polishes?
We chose to use OPI nail polish. Since 2006, they have changed their entire line of nail polishes. They eliminated DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate), Toluene. Formaldehyde has never been an ingredient in their nail polish.
