Transcript of Labradors, (:

Labradors, (: Canis Familiaris Orgin Labradors orginated in Newfoundland in the mid 1800s. They were orginally used for fishing, but now they're used in many different ways. Description Reason for breed Popularity There are a few different colors that labradors can have such as yellow, chocolate, black, and a silverish gray.
They usually weigh around 65 to 100 pounds, with a strongly built body. Most labradors are medium size, have broad chest, and very muscular and athletic. The yellow and black labs usually have brown noses and brown eyes. The chocolate labs usually have pink or brown noses and blue or brown eyes. Labradors are the #1 most popular dog breed in the United States as of January 2010. Most people have these dogs for show dogs, hunting and fishing dogs, or just as a good family pet. Average Cost Usually this breed of dogs cost anywhere from $500 to $1500. Some people sell labradors for cheaper but this is the average price. Health issues Even though Labradors are a very good breed of dogs, everything has some problems. In this breed, there is a possibliity of getting hip dysplaysia, eye problems, and joint problems. Pros and Cons There are always pros and cons to anything in life.
For labradors,
Pros:

Helpful to the blind
Great listeners
Working
And many more.
Cons:
Loves to chew on things when they're puppies
Too much playfulness
Rough play

I would definately want a labrador as a family pet.
Some people say they're a man's best friend. Would you want one? The labradors were bred to be both a friendly companion and a working dog. Many people have these dogs for a hunting partner, a friend, and a helper to the blind. The End.
