She was born in the Shoshone nation near Idaho in 1784.
She was captured by the Hidatsa tribe when she was 12.
She soon married Charbonneau (the man who won her in the bet).
She became a huge part of The Lewis and Clark Expadition.
She helped Lewis and Clark travel west. Without her they would have been killed.
She picked good foods and medicene.
She had a baby on February 11 named Jean.
When they got to the west Sacagawea walked 14 more days alone without food or water.
