PLAYERS SELECT:
Not all the players are equal. We find a lot of players with a different skills.
We should look to select players…
We should not seek the same qualities in all players.
Position in the field would indicate what to look for in each player.
System game.
Style.
Philosophy.
METHODOLOGY OF
GOALKEEPERS WORK
INTRODUCTION
THEORY ASPECTS
To build a good building need a good foundation. All of the goalkeepers must master the theory aspects, both technical and tactical aspects, as they must become aware of what they do well and what they do wrong.
TECHNICAL-TACTICAL ASPECTS
We can not dissociate the technical concepts of tactical concepts, because they are closely linked. Just in case you want to make a very specific correction of a technical error.
To perform this technical - tactical need to use a mixed methodology with analytical work occasionally.
TACTIC ASPECTS
The most important aspect of football:
In each action is a decision that will be determined by the knowledge and understanding of the game. Without this kind of work our goalkeepers will not be able to take the right decisions at all times.
We will use a mixed methodology, global with goalkeepers as far as possible and global work with the team.

WORK METHODOLOGY
GK - 1
GK - 3
GK - 2
Within the methodology of the training of goalkeepers we can find different situations.
ANALYTIC SITUATIONS
Will try to find situations where improved technique giving a sense of the game.Affects only delivery mechanism, achieving improved very specific aims (technical or physical). Get a high number of repetitions of specific gesture.
But presents isolated and descontextualized situations of the game.
No constraints tactical therefore no decision making regarding the game, only technical gesture automation or game situation.
The improvements made manifest not entirely, because the competition involves a tactical-decision conditions that do not occur in the exercise.
MIXED SITUATIONS
In this type of training will situations closer to the competition, where gesture combine automation and decision making, increased perception of changing situations. But still does not give real situations and you have less control of the work.
Within the schedule of sessions should be clear that seek targets with each of the exercises to keep track of work that we want to seek improvement.
GLOBAL SITUATION
It has actions very close to the reality of the game. This leads to decision constant in close proximity to the competition. Through group work, mostly.
The improvements obtained are projected in competition quickly and are much more meaningful. Little control over the number of repetitions. Less control over physical labor.
Mechanisms are working simultaneously perception, decision and execution, working so technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects.
Within the schedule of the sessions must be clear on the objectives to look at each of the exercises to keep track improvement work we want.
GOALKEEPERS TRAINING SESSION
During the sessions we will follow a common structure for goalkeepers work of BFA.
A structure based on three different blocks of work during each session.
The session is made from the objectives set for the week.
Taking into account age, domain level and time of the week.
TRAINING MODEL
STIMULATION OF OBSERVATION AND DECISION MECHANISMS.
GENERAL WORK IN PHYSICAL TRAINING, ADJUST EACH CONTENT AT THE MOST OPTIMAL, GIVEN:

1- MOMENT OF THE SEASON.
2- REQUIREMENTS OF THE AGE.
3- NEEDS OWN GOALKEEPER.
TEACHING STYLE: DECISION MAKING (COGNITIVE SKILLS).
IMPROVEMENT OF EXECUTION.
THE GOALKEEPING COACH HAS TO BE INTEGRATED WITHIN THE COACHING STAFF AND DEPENDING OF THE PLANNING OF THE COMPETITION AND PRIORITIZATION OF THE COACH.
A first Warming block and adaptation to technical and tactical gesture to work. From eminently analytical work where we look mainly on technical issues.
A second block, the main part of the session, from Mixed work we will focus on technical and tactical issues and Physics as objectives.
Sometimes we can use the Global method.
A third block of the session where we will work from global situations, in order to influence essentially tactical issues and see if there has been improvement over the contents (work that is going to happen normally with the group).

TRAINING SESSION
The TRAINING SESSION is the TOOL to get the players learn how we want to play.
Every season we re-select possible new players to continue improving the team.
THE TRAINING SESSION
WORK TO PREPARE BEFORE EVERY TRAINING SEASON
MORE GENERAL TO MORE SPECIFIC:
In the younger ages the work should be more general, with little regard to the position in the field. At older ages the work must be specific as a function of position in the field (ex possessions must be by position, not free).
OBJECTIVES OF EACH SESSION:

Each exercise should have a clear objective to work. We must correct the players in that point. The quality of the exercise will give the corrections made by the coach. (ex driving exercise, does not behave the same with / without opposition).
VARIETY OF EXERCISES:
Do not do always the same exercise for a specific aspect (ex. pass).
Define so clear in every exercise the groups, position and
COMPETITION.
TRAINING SESSION
ORGANIZED:
The session must be prepared before you start. Groups each exercise, the cones prepared, position of the staff, material.
TIME TO IMPROVE:
We must create situations for players to work actions that they do not do well (ex. use their “bad” leg). If they improve in the training will be able to use at games.
USE THE TIME:
Use the time of rest between exercises: Drinking water, stretching, general strength work .
MAXIMUM DEMAND:
We must constantly correct the players in the game aspects and attitudes (ex. when the coach calls their, must come quickly not walk).
