The three strange women plan when they will confront Macbeth (once the battle is done)." As quickly as they arrive, they disappear." Summary: Ducan finds out that Cawdor was a traitor and that his son Malcom, who says that Cawdor died noble, killed Cawdor. and Duncan is going to pass the crown on to his son Malcom. To celebrate Duncan plans to go Macbeths house, Macbeth leaves early to warn his wife of the kings arrival. Summary: Macbeth leaves the hall and Lady Macbeth envisions her husband murdering the King, which she claims she would have done herself yet Duncan reminds her of her father. Once Macbeth comes back, his hands covered in blood, he makes a remark about the servants who woke up and said their prayers. Macbeth thought he heard a voice cry out: “Sleep no more, Macbeth does murder sleep."Lady Macbeth attempts to calm Macbeth, but she becomes angry when she notices that he forgot to leave the daggers with the sleeping servants so as to frame them for Duncan’s murder. He refuses to go back into the room, so she takes the daggers into the room herself, saying that she would be ashamed to be as cowardly as Macbeth. Summary: Ross discusses the ominous and ironic events that
have occurred within the past days ;it is daytime, but dark outside;
last Tuesday, an owl killed a falcon; and Duncan’s beautiful,
well-trained horses behaved wildly and ate one another. Macduff tells
Ross that Macbeth is now king, and that the servants must have been
sent to kill Duncan. The late kings' sons, Malcom and Donalbain flee to safety in England and Ireland..which makes them very suspicious.
Macbeth is in the clear at this point. Summary: Macbeth fears that Banqou's sons will steal the throne from him, so he hires mercenaries to find poor unsuspecting Banqou and young Fleancey come back form a night of riding before they reached the castle for the dinner feast. Banqou asked for light but instead he was greeted by death. The murders proceeded to kill Banqou but Fleance got away. They return to Macbeth with news of their success. Act 2 Scene 7 Summary:Macbeth strikes those around him boldly and forcefully, because no man born of woman can harm him, in his overconfident rampage, he kills Siward's son. Scene 10 Summary: The seething Macduff and the demented Macbeth finally meet for battle. When Macbeth boldly states that he is invincible because of the witches’ prophecy, Macduff tells Macbeth that he was not of woman born, but rather “from his mother’s womb / Untimely ripped”, Macbeth suddenly fears for his life, but he declares that he will not surrender “[t]o kiss the ground before young Malcolm’s feet, / And to be baited with the rabble’s curse” They exit fighting. Act 5 Act 3 Rationale: This song was chosen moreso for it's blatantly obviouslyrics, if it were to be taken in an analytical view, this lead singer is portraying the fact that he is able to get away with anything. " Getting Away With Murder by Papa Roach" Witchy Woman by Eagles "Had Enough by Breaking Benjamin" Rationale: Macduff is able and ready to end this tyrant's reign, he finally sees Macbeth for what he really is and Macduff's family was killed, making it fitting for him to exact retaliation for all the wrongdoing that Macbeth has done. "Million Years by Nico Vega" Rationale: Million Years is very fitting due to the
fact that the play is truly showing the tragic
hereo's hubris, Macbeth is at a state of
fool-hardy overconfidence, with the witches'
prophecies, nothing can harm him and his
reign. "Liar Liar (Burn in Hell) by The Used" Rationale: At this point, the audience is well
aware that Macbeth is a guilty man and that
the rest of the characters still have yet to find
out that Macbeth is simply trying to cover
his tracks. Rationale: the song talks about how he's easily influenced by the outside world and he will only do anything for himself, inturn saying that Macbeth is just killing banqou out of greed, basically just to keep his crown. Summary: As Macbeth sat at the dinner table surround by his cohorts to have a feast and celebrate Macbeth's new title as king. while the others feasted, Macbeth stands to make a toast, but when he looks back to his seat, he sees Banqou in his chair, bloody from the stabs on face. Macbeth screams at his Cohort, thinking they played this nasty trick on him. Lady Macbeth blames his outburst on an illness he's had since he was a child. but when the outburst escalate she asks them to exit, not by rank. Rationale:This song was chosen because the singer talks about how he feels betrayed by his friend who metaphorically stabbed him in the back. I think the the reasons Macbeth sees Banqou in his Hallucinations is because he feels guilty that he murdered his best friend basically betraying him. "Backstreet by Bruce Springsteen" "The Decline by NOFX" Rationale: Malcom is testing macduffs loyalty to Scotland, so he doesnt become a tyrant himself, Malcom needs, Macduff to defeat macbeth and take back scotland. Summary: The three witches are standing around a couldran and putting in bizzare ingredients and hacate enters. he leaves as quickly as he came only complimenting the witches work, then Macbeth comes in and the witches show him 3 sprites . one says "beware of Macduff" then other says "no man women born can hurt Macbeth" and the last tells him "he is safe until Birnam Wood moves to Dunsinane Hill" Outside King Edward’s palace, Malcolm speaks with Macduff, telling him that he does not trust him since he has left his family in Scotland and may be secretly working for Macbeth. Malcom tries to test macduff by using ludicrous situation in where he would be a terrible king. Macduff disagrees giving a cure to all of Malcom's mental illnesses. after a while Malcom "Indestructible by Disturbed" Rationale: this so realest to how Macbeth feels immortal and how he is know reassured that he will win this battle with an army or not. "Land of Confusion by Genesis" Rationale: Witchy Woman conveys the mysterious and possibly dark but intriguing aura about a seemingly "witchy" or mystical figure. The witches in Macbeth are not only personified as dark as well as the main influence on Macbeth, ultimately transforming his personality. "Bad Intention by Digital Daggers" Rationale: When the witches told Macbeth that he was going to be king, the gears were already in motion, once Duncan chose his own son over a more than worthy Macbeth, I believe that set it off with “Bad Intentions”
