Forest conservation means protecting important habitats and using forests' renewable resources wisely.’ (WWF).

Accommodates over 300 million people worldwide.
The Australian government spends AUD $2.96 million per year.

Environmentally sound or expensive?
Reduces impacts of climate change
Reduces levels of Carbon dioxide
Lessens the impacts of soil erosion, which reduces desertification.
Helps prevent landslides by stopping surface run-off.
Reduces the effects of global warming by keeping the atmosphere cooler.
