Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa willd) has been in the Andes for more than 7000 years; due to its nutritional value the native people and some scientists usually refer to it as “The golden grain of the Andes”.
The word quinoa comes from the quechua language and means “mother grain”. In the Inca’s era, this grain was a sacred food and it was use for medical purposes.
Definition of quinoa
The exceptional quality of the quinoa notices his versatility as a crop , and it adapts to various climates and geographical conditions .
It is also an efficient cultivation, requiring small amounts of water to germinate.
Quinoa usually grows between 160 and 180m from planting to harvest.

Quinoa is native to Andean soils. But it also grows from Colombia to Chile.
This seed has been farmed by small farmers , and usually , as far as organic production is concerned, its valuable features make it an important international trade.
In recent years has increased the production of quinoa, specially in Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador

Our project consist in the production, distribution and sale of a cereal bar containing quinoa and amaranth, with the purpose of providing a high quality food good for health. We hope that this company meet the market demand from the sector that it is aimed, having an excellent acceptance by the latter.
After all, we hope we already have an advantage for our product in the market, because not many people know the benefits and the advantages of the “quinoa”.
Afterwards, if we develop a good marketing campaign for our product, we can bring confidence from our product to our potential costumers and the fidelity from them.
Our main targets are:
Satisfy the growing market already existing in México.

Make people meet health habits by eating healthy food.

Make our company an established and solid organization which will benefit both the costumers and investors.

Listen and pay attention to our costumer's needs, so we can give them a service that meets their lifestyle.

The quinoa is a nutritious food, thanks to its vegetal protein, fiber, unsatured fats and intake minerals. As well, It's a good source
providing about 222 calories per cup of cooked quinoa.

Quinoa is a seed, but we usually say it’s a pseudocereal, cause we can eat it like other cereals (corn, rice and wheat).

While quinoa is a good source of many nutrients, is important to consume it as part of a balanced diet for a good nutrition.

The caloric contribution of the quinoa is similar to a cereal; contains fewer hydrains, also have potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iron and zinc from mineral, while it's also
offering B vitamins in appreciable quantities and vitamin E with an antioxidant function.

It is gluten-free and has a low glycemic index, benefiting people with high cholesterol, celiac and diabetic people; for this reasons everyone who wants a healthy diet, can consume and pay for this product.
The growing concern for healthier and more balanced diet demand from the population products that meet these requirements, these products must be of high quality. We proposed a product capable of meeting these needs, resulting in a healthy food.
The first investment for this project will be $250,000 (moreless), then we expect to retrieve $50,000 every month. We hope to reach the break-even point after 9 months, so we can start to get profits after the 10th month.
