Dramatic Irony When the audience is aware of something that the characters are not. Situational Irony Irony is a contrast between what appears and what really is. When the opposite if what is expected to happen happens Corey Sargent Irony Verbal Irony Saying the opposite of what you are meaning Quiz "Music Business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." Example: "Romeo and Juliet" the audience knows Juliet is only sleeping while the other characters think she is dead.
