OVERLAPP Overlapp will provide various applications for teenagers to young adults who are looking for new exciting games or helpful tools. "Mobile App Market Will Be Worth $25 Billion By 2015" According to Techcrunch.com, the app industry is rapidly growing. "Global market is forecast to record a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 29.6 percent from 2009 to 2014" "Expected to become the largest market by 2015, at $8.4 billion and growing at a CAGR of 33.6 percent during 2010 – 2015" As young adults, we know what is appealing to people in our age group. We're familiar with the app industry as we, like our peers, use applications everyday, whether to play a game, or communicate. We plan to create many different applications that will become extremely popular with various mobile devices. O V E R A L P P 291,250 app developing companies already What problem will this solve? QUALIFICATIONS? Do you wish there were brand new thrilling applications you could download? Do you have trouble putting on your pants in the morning? Sadly we can't help you with your pants,
But have we got the app company for you! Are you sick and tired of the same boring apps in the app store? OUR FIRST IDEA... PLEASE. To actually develop an iPhone app we would need $20,000-$100,000 for programming. This is if we want to create a game app or an app that uses social media. We'd have to make sure that our app idea would have a possibility of being successful. Once we make the app we will charge $0.99 for each application and hopefully make a good profit. This is not your typical truth or dare app. The idea is that a person sends a truth question or a dare to a person that they have as a friend. The person receiving the truth or dare will either answer the truth question or take a picture/video of them self doing the dare and send it back to whoever sent it. GoForIt If we are going to create an app that costs money to develop, we have to come up with ways to pay the developer. When we first make the apps we will not pay as much as what the final cost will be. For example we will pay the developer in loans.
For the more expensive apps, the first model will not cover the total cost of the app because of software updates. We plan to cope with this problem by paying off these extra costs with the profit that we make. elizabeth, blake, eric, steve
