Transcript of Science Project

Science Project Unit 14 section 3 By: Michelle and Paige Cowan, 3rd Unequal heating can causes winds because
the land warms up faster tham the water therefore
the air over the land becomes warmer than the air
over the water which creates a low pressure area. Cool
air blows inland from the water and moves underneath
the warm air. Local Winds are the type of winds that
only blow over short distances. Local winds also are caused by unequal heating of Earth's surface within a small area. Global winds are the type of winds that
blow steadily from specific directions over
long distances. global winds are also created by
unequal heating, just like local
winds.
