7th grade art
red, yellow and blue are the 3 primary colors.
the primary colors make all of the other colors on the color wheel.
tertiary colors are a mix
of a primary color and a secondary color
that are neighbors on the color wheel.
tints are a color plus white
shades are a color plus black
value is how light or dark a color is
warm colors are one half of the color wheel including red, orange, and yellow
secondary colors are a mix of two primary colors
the color wheel consists of all the colors of the spectrum-
like a rainbow!
this is a value scale
analogous colors are neighbors on the color wheel
cool colors are blues, greens and violets
complementary colors are opposites on the color wheel
Yellow and Blue mix to create
red and blue
mix to create
yellow and red
mix to create
light passed through a prism= the spectrum
when you mix complementary colors you make brown
When complementary colors are next to eachother, they make eachother brighter
