The Moon The moon has no air. The moon is a 4.6 billion years old ball of rock. The moon moves counterclockwise. The moons surface is a rocky and covered with craders. The surface tempertuare is a 100c. The plane of the moon's orbit is tilted The moon is not a planet, but a satellite of the earth about 59% of the moon's surface is visible from Earth The moon is abot 1/4 the size of the Earth. The surface area of the moon is 14,658,000 square The dark spots we see on the moon that create the image of the man in the moon are actually craters filled will basalt, Which is a very dense material. The moon rotates at 10 miles per hour compared to the Earth's rotation of 1,000miles per hour.
