What year are you projected to begin this job?
Thinking about a career for me has been very challenging,but I have decided on a being a pediatrician. A career in the pediatric field is a highly regarded profession that allows you to treat, diagnose, and prevent children's diseases and injuries. Also, I chose to research in the pediatric field for three reasons I am really good with children, I enjoy helping people, and I want to make a difference in the world through my work. If I actually do pursue a career in the medical field i plan on working a few years in the hospital and once I am stable opening my own practice.
A career in the pediatric field is something that I have always thought about. Making decisions and solving problems is something I do in my every day life, and I am pretty good at it. Therefore, I believe that I would make a great pediatrician because that is also something they do through out their career.
The usual path to practicing as a physician is requires 8 years of
education beyond high school and 3 to 8 years of internship and
residency. Acceptance in to medical school is highly competitive.
People must submit transcripts, scores from the MCA test and letters
of recommendation. Colleges also consider an applicants character.
personality and leadership qualities and participation in
extracurricular activities . Most schools require an interview with
members of the admissions committee, so putting together a
portfolio or resume' would help me get into school for a career in a
Yes!! Medical School is a must in becoming a pediatrician. Four years of
undergraduate school, Four years of medical school and three to eight
years of internship and residency, depending on what field
A great way to start off is to devote many years to study before being
admitted to practice. High school students should enroll in a college
preparatory course, and take courses In English,Language,Humanities
Social Studies, and mathematics in addition to courses in biology,
chemistry, and physics.
Also starting off in the medical profession a M.D degree, licensing
examination, a one- or two year internship and a period of residency that
may extend as long as five years.
Applicants to medical school after undergraduate school at least obtain a bachelor's degree and have advanced degrees. After medical school students usually go into residency and work under experienced physicians,but there is no specific special training for becoming a pediatrician.
All states require physicians to be licensed. in order to qualify canididates must graduate medical school, complete residency training in there specialty, and pass written and practical exams.
Also all physicians must pass a standardized national licensure examination
Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) is also recommended
In order to become a pediatrician after high school requires
4 years of undergraduate school
4 years of medical school
3 or more years of residency
So I plan on truly beginning my pediatric career in 2027
What type of money will you make when begin this job?
The average net pay for pediatricians is about $140,600 but salaries may range
from $160,000 to $250,000 a year. So , depending on what type of work I do i think my average salary will be $160,000.
What will be your duties on the job?
Take a patient's medical history.
Update charts and parent information to show current findings and treatments.
Order tests for nurses or other health care staff to perform.
Review test results to indentify abnormal findings.
Recommend and design a plan of treatment
Address concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being
Help patients take care of their health discussing topics such as proper nutrition .
