Turn and talk.
Hi! I'm Mrs. Passalacqua
The Three R's
How do you know when someone is responsible?
What does a responsible person do?
A little bit about me...
Ready to Learn
Ready to Learn
What did Kid President mention that ties into being ready to learn?
During the next few days, well discuss the Three R's some more.
Let's discuss Responsibility and Freedom.
This year, you will be given a lot of freedom. Freedom to work in group, freedom to work around the room. However your freedom is proportional to your level of responsibility.
Now everyone stand up and let's see this in action!
Now we will go over what to do when we arrive in the mornings.
Think, Ink, Share
Now with your groups, you will come up with a list of expectations that you think we need to have in order for our classroom to be safe and conducive to learning.
First think to yourself of what rules or expectations we need.
Then share with your group.
The group will need to write down 3 - 4 rules/expectations.
Each group will now get a chance to look at the other groups' lists.
As you walk around see if you can find anything similar between the lists.
On a scale of 1 - 10, how are you feeling this morning?
We will now collect supplies and get our materials in order :-)
While we do that I have a special assignment for you.
Please say "here" when I call your name for attendance
- This is my tenth year teaching.
- I love yoga, it is relaxing and challenging.
- I have 2 dogs, who you will be hearing about A LOT!
Now we will go over what to do when we pack up.
This summer I was very busy learning how to be a mom. It was EXHAUSTING and WONDERFUL!
