by Momay #12 & Pop #24 Ten Commandments of Computer Ethics 10 3. THOU SHALT NOT SNOOP AROUND IN OTHER PEOPLE'S COMPUTER FILES. Word CAN be hurtful - even if they are typed and not said.
Do not use your computer to hurt anybody in anyway.
Many times things we can somebody's feeling so make sure
you are not using your complete to say things that you wouldn't to say to the person if you could see them. 1. THOU SHALT NOT USE A COMPUTER TO HARM OTHER PEOPLE. Do not use your computer to break into personal file of another to take something that doesn't belong to you. Doing this is illegal and you could get into trouble with this person or the police. 4. THOU SHALT NOT USE A COMPUTER TO STEAL. Do not download or save files that you have not rightfully paid for.
This includes music, movie, TV shows, art, etc.
There are a lot of illegal sites there that let you download and
take software and other documents without paying for them.
DO NOT ever do this! You can get in major trouble
and even have to pay a find or go to jail! 6. THOU SHALT NOT COPY OR USE PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE FOR WHICH YOU HAVE NOT PAID. 2. THOU SHALT NOT INTERFERE WITH OTHER PEOPLE'S COMPUTER WORK 5. THOU SHALT NOT USE A COMPUTER TO BEAR FALSE WITNESS. 7. THOU SHALT NOT USE OTHER PEOPLE'S COMPUTER RESOURCES
WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION OR PROPER COMPENSATION. 8. THOU SHALT NOT APPROPRIATE OTHER PEOPLE'S INTELLECTUAL OUTPUT. 9. THOU SHALT THINK ABOUT THE SOCIAL CONSEQUENCES
OF THE PROGRAM YOU ARE WRITING
OR THE SYSTEM YOU ARE DESIGNING. 10. THOU SHALT ALWAYS USE A COMPUTER IN WAYS THAT
INSURE CONSIDERATION AND RESPECT FOR YOUR FELLOW HUMANS. THANKS! You need to be responsible with your computer and internet use your computer or internet privileges to get in the way or ruin other's hard work in any way. Do not Delete files that do not belong to you. Do not edit or change another person's work without permission from that person You should NEVER go into another person's email or
personal file without permission from that person.
Emails are private conversations and are only meant
for the person who the email begin sent to.
Files on somebody's computer are also private and
should not be looked at without permission You should not put false or fake information into the world or internet.
The internet is a place where many people go to find information you should make sure you are being truthful Never use a program without paying for it.
Before putting a program or software
on your computer make sure you are
the permission of the company and that
you have paid for it necessary. Do not use your computer or internet
to take another person's work
(report, article research paper, etc.)
and use it as your own.
This is called PLAGIARISM and it is illegal. If you design something put be on the internet or for others to use THINK about what could or might happen ? Could anything bad happen ?
if the answer is yes think about how you avoid the bad thing or make them less likely to happen. This is a biggest commandments to remember.
Always use you computer and internet sites
in way that RESPECTFUL to both yourself and other.
Do not post hurtful or harmful words.
Always remember that other can see what you put out there on the internet.
Treat other in the way that you would want to be treated. And what does it means ?
