Hadeeth about Salat-ul-Jumu'ah
Salat-ul-Jumu'ah
The Friday Prayer is a special congregational prayer that takes place Thuhr time on Fridays. It is different than the Thuhr prayer in normal days. In Salat-Ul-Jumu'ah, it contains 2 rak'aat rather than 4. The Friday Prayer begins after the time for prayer starts and the call to prayer is given.

Salat-ul-Jumu'ah consists of a Khutbah which is done before the 2 rak'aats of prayer. The Khutbah is usually delivered by the Imam or an knowledgeable, righteous Muslim. The person who gives the Khutbah is called the "Khateeb." Khutbah follows basic rules that is meant to teach us important lessons about Islam. The Khutbah is actually part of Salat-ul-Jumu'ah, so it's forbidden to speak after it starts. During Khutbah, we should listen respectfully and attentively.

Salat-ul-Jumu'ah is a obligatory (fard) prayer for every Muslim man. It is haram for men to miss Salat-ul-Jumu'ah to work or do other things.
Salat-ul-Jumu'ah (The Friday Prayer)
By Dharwish, Rahil, Aslam, and Abdullah 8C

When the Prophet was delivering the Khutbah in the Masjid, a caravan suddenly passed by in the streets of Madinah. There was a man singing and beating his rum to attract people to buy his stuff. Many Muslims stood up and went to buy the merchant's stuff, as the Prophet was speaking. Only 12 Muslims kept listening to the Prophet Muhammad's Khutbah. Prophet Muhammad was saddened by the Sahabah's preference for wealth and trade of Salat-ul-Jumu'ah. Even Allah was disappointed, as He revelaed in Surat-ul-Jumu'ah.
Punishments for Ignoring Salat-ul-Jumu'ah
It's haram to miss Salat-ul-Jumu'ah.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said "I would ask a man to lead the people in prayer so that I may burn the houses of those men who did not attend the Friday prayer with us."
Prophet Muhammad also said either they stop neglecting Friday prayers, or Allah will set a seal on their hearts, so they cannot find the right path again.

Why we pray Salat-ul-Jumu'ah
Allah places much barakah or blessings on Friday.
You get closer to Allah in Friday.
We come to know the Muslims in our community and gain sense of unity.
The person who attends Salat-ul-Jumu'ah will be forgiven for all of the major sins that he or she has committed since the last Jumu'ah.
The important thing is because Salat-ul-Jumu'ah is an obligatory (fard) prayer for every Muslim man.
Proper Manners of Salat-ul-Jumu'ah
Ghusl on Fridays
It is sunnah to make ghusl or wash oneself by taking a special bath or shower, on Friday before the Jumu'ah prayer. Ghusl is a purifying ritual that is similar to a bath or shower, but contains a few additional steps.
Reciting Surat-ul-Kahf
It is also another sunnah with much reward. The Prophet (PBUH) said "Whoever recites the first ten ayaat of Surut-ul-Kahf, before Jumu'ah prayer, will be protected from Ad-Dajal, and the punishment of grave. Ando whoever recites the whole surah, Allah will give him a light till the next Friday.
Wearing neat clothes and pefume
It is sunnah to wear the best clothes you own and put on perfume or musk for Salat-ul-Jumu'ah.
Going Early to Salat-ul-Jumu'ah
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "If one washes himself and goes to Friday prayer, it is considered that the person donated a camel to Allah. If a person goes in the second hour, he donated a cow to Allah. And in the third hour, he donated a big sheep to Allah. And the fourth hour, he donated a chicken to Allah. The fifth hour, he donated a egg to Allah. But when you enter the Masjid when the Imam is giving the Khutbah, the angels come and listen to it."
Listening Attentively to the Khutbah
During Khutbah, a Muslim should focus on the lessons of the Khutbah and avoid distractions. It is forbidden to speak, sleep, or do other things while listening to the Khutbah. We should comment on others to tell them to pay attention to the Khutbah.
Behaving Respectfully in the Masjid
Muslims should be respectful to othes especially during Salat-ul-Jumu'ah. For example, walking in between people and talking to them.
Making Thikr and Du'aa During the Special Hour
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "There's a special hour on Friday during which Allah will respond to those who make Du'aa to him. No one knows when the special hour really takes palce. Some scholars thinks it's the last hour of the day on Friday, and some others think it's the hour just before Maghrib prayer on Friday. It is also recommended to say Thikr as shown in this picture:
