Transcript of Lou's parts of a computer

The hardrive stores all
the long-term data. For Example, when you save a file on your computer its gets saved on this disk.

The CPU (central processing unit)
is also known as the brain
of the computer. It carries
out demands from the operator.
The motherboard holds
everything in the computer
together. Everything also
goes through it.

The RAM (random-access memory) stores short term data like calculations. When you turn your computer off, it forgets all the memory stored on it. If you are on your computer for a long period of time your computer may come slow because of the ram being full.
The power supply takes power given from the plug and tames it so that the power given won’t damage your computer. It also has a fan inside which cools your computer down because it could be very dangerous if your computer gets too hot.
The graphics controls everything on the screen. The computer sends things that want to come on the screen to the graphics card. It stops your computer screen from going pixelated.
