If you are being bullied:
REMEMBER the following
Set up rules for going online
Time of day, length of time online, and sites allowed
Be a good online citizen
And do nothing to hurt others or that's against the law
Report inappropriate info
To an adult right away
Check with an adult
Before downloading or installing software
I Will not
Give out my internet passwords
to any one other then my parents or teacher
Plan to meet anyone
Without checking with a parent
Give personal info
With out parents permission. This includes my photo, name, address, phone number, parents work phone number, school name, location,or places I go.
Respond to or forward messages that make me feel uncomfortable
Some Tips are...
-Avoid places where bullying happens
-Don't let the bully see that you are upset.
-Answer the bully in a calm way.
-Act confident with your head held high.
-Stay with a friend or in a group.
-Remind yourself that the bully has the problem, not you.
-Walk away and ignore the bully
-Tell an adult such as a parent, teacher , bus driver, or neighbor.
-Don' t try to get even or carry a weapon for protection.
Bullies do a lot of mean things: they call people names, hit, push, scare, tease, spread rumors, and make fun of people
Don't let a bully bring you down
Don't let bullies hurt you or others
Everyone deserves to be treated with RESPECT!!!
If you see another person being bullied:
Encourage the bullied person to tell an adult what happened.
Speak up and tell the bully to stop.
Get an adult to help.
Refuse to be a part of the bullying.
Be friendly and helpful to the person who has been bullied.
What is bullying?
Bullying is the use of force, threat, intimidation, or aggressively imposing domination over others.
The behavior is often repeated and habitual.
If we have no peace it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.
Follow the golden rule
"Treat others the way you want to be treated"
If we follow this rule we can make our school, our community and the world a peaceful place.
