Planning
YES, WE DO!
all protests,
criticisms,
alternative site proposals
had no effect.
Until now
building volume is unreasonable
12-13% !
building rate:

complex park rehabilitation
parallel with the building of
new Museums
revitalization of 2 brown fields (Rákosrendező, Millenáris).
dispersed installation
THEREFORE, WE
decrease the building
rate to demolish the
value-less buildings
(-1,3%)

exhibition spaces don't need
natural lighting
Lower costruction and operational costs
Keeping the building rate
on the existing level
by using the existing historical buildings we can decrease
the building rate and reuse
and renovate the built heritage in a sustainable way.
(Castle of Vajdahunyad, Museum of Transportation, Olof Palme House
Villa Róheim, Villa Sipeky, Sacré Coeur Institute around the park)
(not just by the the new buildings, but by the new underground garages and built squares)
public park function is wounded
The biggest value of the Citypark is the green surface, which gives a local climate and calm atmosphere. It is not just a frame of the historical buildings but it is a green oasis inside the concrete jungle of the Capital.

Our proposal would transplant some working and planned functions (Circus, Amusement Park, Kids & Youth Center, Museum of Transportation) to the neighboring brown fields or in case of Agricultural Museum, Museum of Architecture, Museum of Photography to another suitable sites. Park can respire again from the pressure and this method can valorize the highly devastated slums and brown fields inside the city.
(official communication underlined only the green surface rate but there is a wise silence around the building rates.)

What is the problem with the Museum District project?

there is no new building

big museums would be settled to unworthy places
(National Gallery on the corner of Ajtósi and Dózsa street, Museum of Ethography nearby a mouth of a Highway)
