Lemuel A. Florendo The Manual Process The manual Process Statement of the Problem Methodology Used Proposed System Signing of clearance in Leyte Normal University is usually done manually and some challenges or problems are encountered both by the students and the personnel in-charge in signing stundents' clearance. The process is very tedious and time consuming leading to a plethora of challenges which need immediate technical interventions. Flow Chart The researchers aim to develop an “Automated Student Clearance System”. Specifically it aims to identify the following:
1.What are the problems encountered by the students when processing their clearance?
2.What are the problems encountered by the personnel involved in processing student clearance using the existing manual system?
3.What are the necessary software and hardware needed in developing the “Automated Student Clearance System”?
Both qualitative and quantitative research methodology were utilized in this study. The qualitative research data consisted in-depth interview with the different people concerned in the process of signing the clearance including the students. The quantitative research data were gathered with the aid of a questionnaire. Three hundred seventy three questionnaires were sent out to the student-respondents, this number of samples was selected from five thousand five hundred total student population using the Slovin’s formula and seventy three questionnaires handed out to officers in-charge in student clearance processing. Project description
The proponents proposed an Automated Student Clearance System in LNU in order to have a faster and hassle free way of accomplishing student clearance. The automated system is design to improve the manual process of signing the clearance in the said university. Its main function is to cut the unnecessary procedures of the manual process. The proposed system will lessen the time required in processing the student clearance. Findings of Research "AUTOMATED STUDENT CLEARANCE SYSTEM" Project Objectives
(1) To develop an automated way of accomplishing student clearance.
(2) To provide a better, faster and hassle free way of accomplishing student clearance.
(3) To cut the unnecessary procedures in the manual process. System Flow Chart
