Transcript of Copy of Bachelor of Nursing
I chose nursing because I honourably want to devote quality time to my patients and their families.
I want to be able to make a difference in my patients' lives.
And also nursing is highly proficient and exceedingly flexible!!

Brief History 1900s- 21st Century
Florence Nightingale was the Pioneer of modern nursing.
Her birthday (12 May) is declared the official Nursing Day in Japan
On 9 July 1860, Miss Nightingale established the world’s first professional nurse training school at St Thomas’ Hospital, London, UK (King’s College, 2014). She realised that keeping utensils clean and sterile was hygienic, and with this technique, the death toll dropped dramatically after the second world war.
The Australian and New Zealand national governments signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement (Daly, Speedy & Jackson, 2010). This meant that nurses trained in the respective countries were equally recognised
A national registration for all nurses and midwives came into force in Australia in July 2010. (Daly, Speedy & Jackson, 2010)
Above is a list of nursing career prospects. Upon completion of my course, i intend to become a Registered Nurse at the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital.
