Rosa Parks changed the world by........ Staring a bus boycott and fought to change the rules to equal rights on the buses and public facilities. Rosa Parks Bio Rosa Parks was born on February 4,1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama. She was a seamstress and an activist. She died in 2005 at the age of 92. Her mothers name was Leona Edwards. What she did to change the world On December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks boards a city bus in Montgomery. She sat down in the middle of the bus. Blacks were allowed to sit there as long as there were enough seats for whites. What she did to change the word On December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks boarded a city bus in Montgomery, Alabama. She sat down in the middle of the bus. Blacks were allowed to sit there as long as there were enough seats for the whites. There were not enough seats for the white man that boarded the bus, so she was asked to move so that he could sit down, but refused. She was immediately arrested. She helped to fight for black freedoms and for equal treatment of people regardless of race. How did she do it? She began the Montgomery bus boycott. She had to go to court to fight for thew ability for blacks and whites to mutually use public facilities such as restrooms, water fountains, and buses. One year after the Montgomery Bus Boycott Birmingham buses were integrated and the movement for integrating public facilities went into action. How has it changed the world? Today we can all use public facilities without being separated and have equal rights to do so. So Rosa parks changed the world by, not giving up her seat when asked to, and starting the bus boycott When the outcome was that now we can all use public facilities without being separated and we have equal rights to do so.
