Transcript of Choosing a Program: UCEAP vs UCLA Travel Study

What are my study abroad options at UCLA?
University of California Education Abroad Program
UCEAP is the UC-system's study abroad program offering hundreds of short and long-term options at prestigious partner universities in over 40 countries! Programs are available for the Fall, Spring, Summer, or Year-Long terms and length varies from 5 weeks up to 1 year. Students earn UC units and grades, and can often receive major and GE credit.

UCLA Travel Study
Travel Study offers UCLA faculty-led summer programs in 12 different countries abroad as well as New York. Each program has a set curriculum focused on a particular subject area, and the credits transfer back as UCLA coursework. There are no GPA requirements and the program is open to all students!

Non-UC Programs
If the UC system does not offer any study abroad opportunities that match your interests, UCLA students can participate on non-UC programs. Coursework from these options carryover to UCLA as transfer units provided it meets select criteria.

UCLA financial aid is not available for this option, but there are numerous scholarship opportunities to fund your education abroad through these programs.
