SCHOOL AND BEYOND
Bush attended YALE University in 1946 and attended a program that allowed him to graduate in two in a half years and graduated in 1948 with a degree in economics.

While attending YALE he became the president of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and a member of Skull and Bones

George H. W. Bush held many important jobs in government. He was ambassador to the United Nations in the 70s, headed the Republican National Committee during the Wategate scandal, U.S. envoy to China and director of the CIA.

George Herbert Walker Bush was born on June 12, 1924, in Milton, Massachusetts.

Bush became the youngest pilot in the navy during WW2 at the age of 18

Bush began his political career in 1963 when he became chairman of the Harris County Republican Party.
In 1964 he ran and lost the campaign for a seat in Senate. However, two years later, he managed to land a seat in Congress where he served for two terms.

As it was, in 1989 Bush finally managed to land the Presidency.
During his presidency, Bush passed the 1991 Civil Rights Act, which made it easier for employees to sue on the grounds of discrimination. Role: Chief Legislator/ Chief Citizen
Another important domestic issue was addressed as Bush signed the Clean Air Act of 1990. which titghtened air pollution standards. Role: Chief Legislator/ Chief Citizen
Bush would later meet with Russian President Boris Yeltsin, who would discuss American-Russian relations and declare the end of the Cold War. Role: Chief Diplomat

After leaving the presidency, Bush and his wife began living a more private life with their residency split between Houston, Texas and Kennebunkport, Maine. However, they both continued to be active members of the community.
Bush sat on various boards, aimed to keep his legacy through his Presidential Libraray in Texas A&M University, and when the 2004 tsunami hit Southeast Asia, he and former President Clinton created the Bush-Clinton Houston Tsunami Fund, a fund-raising campain to provide support for the region.
