how the life of faith can be
methods, procedures, approaches, techniques
...as well as general
principles governing the selection
of the chosen methods...
to not endorse any particular method but see the Pedagogy of faith of filipinos today as:
daily life was filled with numberless reminders of the faith:
the methodology was orderly and logical-doctrine centered and deductive, from God's will to life.
Soon traditional form of catechetical methodology broke down as conditions that had made it so effective gradually changed...
in one sense the average filipino catholic can be said to be "sacramentalized"...
for the reception for these sacraments and
in their Christian life in general...
still leaves much to be desired!
filipino catholics are "exteriorly" sacramentalized but never adequately evangelized or catechized.
inculturation of faith in the filipino
but this is not adequate especially that it is coming under increasing attack...
towards maturity of faith
first priority is catechetics
1st of nine pastoral priorities
and therefore results can only be achieved
through specific, critically planned programs
that can be
that is to:
draw on concrete filipino experience from daily life
develop self-awareness of specific existential philippine situation
search for deeper and fuller Christian meaning of their lives
because of this, we area able to sketch guidelines for a pedagogy of faith for filipinos for the new millenium
